I took the free course via email. For two months, the email with the content arrived punctually every day. The course progresses in difficulty, and while I wasn’t able to complete it all because I’m at a basic level, I found it inspiring to read the email, which encourages you not to give up but to continue studying at your own pace. It’s nice that, in addition to grammar rules, there’s also information about Japanese culture and life. When the last email arrived, I was sad, because it had been a lovely morning appointment for me. Furthermore, on a couple of occasions when I needed to contact the tutor, I received prompt, kind, and timely responses. I recommend this experience to anyone interested in learning Japanese; it’s not just a course, it’s a journey.

I really appreciated the additional learning materials provided throughout the course. There were useful tables, illustrations, videos, and links that helped me understand and remember the material better. I found it especially convenient to print some of these materials and keep them in my study folder so that I could return to them whenever I needed to review something. Another thing I really liked was the structure of the subscription. Each day I could focus on one new lesson through one dedicated link, without having the new material mixed together with previous lessons. This may sound like a small detail, but for me it made studying much more manageable. It gave me a clear daily goal and also helped me understand when it was time to stop studying and take a proper break after completing the day’s lesson. One of my favorite parts was the opportunity to learn more about Japanese culture. The lessons were not limited to language itself, and I really enjoyed the cultural information connected with everyday life in Japan. I would actually like to revisit the online lessons again in the future, both to review the language and to study the cultural details more carefully. There is always something new to notice when you return to the same material with a little more knowledge. The course also introduced me to many kanji that were new to me, as well as useful basic grammatical structures that I can apply in my Japanese studies. For a foreign learner, having language material connected with cultural context makes the learning experience much more meaningful. Finally, I would like to mention the personal side of my experience. As a foreign student, I especially appreciated how responsive and supportive the team was. I enjoyed the bonuses, kind messages, and good wishes that I received throughout my studies. Those small gestures made the course feel much more personal and welcoming.
Overall, my experience with this program was quite unique, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to study with them. I hope to continue learning Japanese and return to the course materials in the future. As a small personal wish, I think it would be wonderful to have a certificate confirming completion of the language program. I would love to keep it as a memory of this experience, because studying with this company has been a very special part of my Japanese-learning journey.

Attempted to charge me for a tutor I had not agreed to use, and after I found one I liked and paid for several months in advance for, I received multiple emails, text messages and direct phone calls informing me to pay twice over to continue lessons after the first month. I would not be able to say they were “professional.”
I did find a fantastic tutor, so I won’t give this business the lowest stars, but I would urge anyone considering using this matching service to keep ALL of your receipts and messages for future reference.

During my last extended stay in Japan, I contacted HH JapaNeeds to find teachers or volunteers with whom I could practice my Japanese. I must say I was impressed by the seriousness and quality of this language school. I answered quite a number of questions and even had a phone interview to assess my level.

This company was very easy to work with. They accepted PayPal as a payment method which was perfect for me as a foreigner. They found a tutor who also spoke English and lived in the same city as me. I was looking for a company that was able to be flexible and work with my specific requests for how I’d like to learn and I found it! HH JapaNeeds didn’t hesitate to find a fantastic teacher who understood that I didn’t want to do textbook lessons. I met her online to discuss my level and learning needs and then we met up in person and had conversation lessons in various locations in Osaka. I wanted to buy some green tea to take back home and my sensei took me to an excellent department store where I was able to meet the farmer who grew the tea! Chanced upon HH JapaNeeds while trying to find online classes to improved my Japanese. The response is fast and Honda San contacted me. First he conducted an interview to see my level of Japanese and to find out more on which area am I focusing on learning. I went for the course with a volunteer teacher and it worked great for me. Adaptability and flexibility with my schedule and working hours, took the time to design a teaching program that worked well with both my objectives and the time I could allow to studying. Very helpful if you want to learn Japanese. They have various options of tutoring, and you probably find one at your location (or online, if you want) and according to your needs. Coordination via e-mail or Whatsapp is swift and in excellent English, the tutors are all very helpful (I chose the partner level) and you get to choose which one(s) suit(s) you best. The online presence is also very useful. Highly recommended.

Mr Honda did a great job. He always cares about the status of learner and if you have any questions, he provides answers right away. Just describe what kind of teacher you need, he will find a suitable one for you. I had great time with my teacher and learned a lot of japanese culture or customs which I haven’t known before.
