About HH JapaNeeds
HH JapaNeeds is a Japanese-operated language school that arranges one-on-one private Japanese lessons for learners in Japan and around the world.
We support students who want to improve Japanese conversation, prepare for the JLPT, study business Japanese, learn Japanese for daily life in Japan, or receive personalized support from a Japanese tutor.
The name “HH” comes from “Helping Hands.” It reflects our wish to support Japanese learners personally and help each student find a learning style that fits their goals.
Our lessons are available online worldwide, face-to-face in many areas of Japan, and in a hybrid style that combines online and in-person learning depending on tutor availability.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help people learn Japanese in a way that fits their goals, schedule, location, and learning style.
We believe that language learning is not only about memorizing words and grammar. It is also a way to connect with people, understand culture, and gain confidence in daily life, work, school, and the community.
HH JapaNeeds was created to make Japanese learning more flexible, personal, and accessible. By connecting learners with suitable Japanese tutors, we help students use Japanese more naturally and continue learning with confidence.
What We Do
HH JapaNeeds arranges private Japanese lessons and learning support for students with different goals, levels, schedules, and locations.
- We introduce suitable Japanese tutors for one-on-one private lessons.
- Lessons can be arranged online, face-to-face, or in a hybrid style depending on tutor availability.
- Students can choose learning support such as Partner Class, Pro Class, and free e-Learning materials.
Detailed information about each lesson type is available on our Japanese lesson overview page.
Why HH JapaNeeds Is Different
Many online platforms ask students to search through many tutor profiles by themselves. HH JapaNeeds takes a more personal approach.
A coordinator listens to each student’s goals, Japanese level, schedule, location, preferred lesson style, and tutor preferences before introducing a suitable Japanese tutor. This helps students avoid spending too much time searching alone and makes it easier to begin lessons with a teacher who matches their needs.
One of our unique strengths is that we arrange a dedicated Japanese tutor for each student. Your tutor is not just a teacher for one lesson. The same tutor can continue to support you over time, learning your weak points, learning style, personality, interests, daily life, and goals. This allows the tutor to provide lessons that are more personal and practical.
Through regular one-on-one lessons, students can learn not only Japanese language skills, but also Japanese culture, manners, communication styles, and useful knowledge for life, work, school, and the community in Japan.
HH JapaNeeds also has a wide network of Japanese tutors across Japan and online worldwide. Depending on tutor availability, we can often arrange face-to-face lessons in many areas, as well as online or hybrid lessons for learners who need more flexibility.
Our goal is not simply to introduce a tutor, but to help each student continue learning Japanese in a comfortable and effective way.
Message from the Founder
HH JapaNeeds was founded in 2010 as a language training school. Before starting HH JapaNeeds, I experienced the difficulty of building a business and continuing it through uncertain times. During that period, learning English at a language school helped me regain confidence and gave me a new way to connect with people.
Learning a new language was not easy for me. At first, it felt like a small step, but little by little, I began to feel that I could express my thoughts in another language. That experience changed the way I looked at people, culture, and my own possibilities.
Before becoming independent, I worked in manufacturing, research and development, international business, and overseas sales. Later, through language education, nonprofit activities, and international cooperation projects, I learned the importance of creating systems and relationships that can continue over time.
I started HH JapaNeeds because I wanted to create that kind of support for people learning Japanese. Whether you are learning Japanese for daily life, work, school, JLPT, family, or personal interest, I hope we can help you find the right support and continue your learning journey step by step.

Cooperation with HHHJapan
HH JapaNeeds is connected with the activities of HHHJapan, a nonprofit organization based in Nagoya. HHHJapan works on multicultural coexistence, language education, international exchange, environmental workshops, and international cooperation projects such as agroforestry.
Through this connection, HH JapaNeeds aims to support not only Japanese language learning, but also communication and understanding between people from different cultural backgrounds. We believe that Japanese education can help foreign residents, international students, workers, families, and learners around the world connect more deeply with Japan and Japanese society.
Cooperating with JAT
Japan Africa Trust (JAT) is an NGO with a mission to foster a common future. They hope to achieve this by promoting Japanese language and culture through education. As more foreigners develop their understanding of Japanese culture and their ability to communicate in Japanese, more relationships are being built between them and Japanese people. They feel strongly that these relationships form the basis of world peace and mutual respect between cultures.
In addition to the Japanese language school, he is also working on an agricultural support micro-empowerment project in Africa, a Tanzanian elementary school exchange library project, and a global climate change project. They have been conducting international cooperation projects in East Africa for over 10 years.
