In this article, I would like to explain such “beaches in Okinawa that are frequented by foreigners.

Reasons Why Okinawa’s Beaches are Beautiful

First of all, let me explain “Why are the Okinawan beaches so beautiful?” First of all, let me explain “Why are the Okinawan beaches so beautiful?

One of the main reasons is “coral reefs.

Coral reefs absorb carbon dioxide from the ocean.

The carbon dioxide they absorb is used for photosynthesis, which produces oxygen and minerals that are then released into the water.

This is what is called a natural purifier, and it cleans the ocean.

When coral reefs reach the end of their life span, they break up over time and turn into white sand.

The calcareous coral reefs become fine sand and reflect sunlight on the ocean floor.

This creates a spectacular emerald-green landscape.

Another factor is plankton.

The ocean current flowing through Okinawa is the Kuroshio Current, which is characterized by its low plankton content.

Plankton makes the ocean murky, so the ocean in Okinawa is cleaner with less plankton. (Although delicious fish cannot be caught because of the low nutritional content.)
